Mini package along Gota Canal in Västergötland

Day 1                  Töreboda-Sjötorp-Jonsboda (47 km)
The trip starts in Töreboda and you'll ride by bike on the old towpath along the canal to Sjötorp. A beautiful route with a lot of locks and enjoying the great Swedish nature. In Sjötorp you will be served lunch at a café beside the tourist information. In order to learn about how Göta Canal was built, you will visit the Canal Museum. On your return, you first stop att Norrkvarn where a mini-canal is constructed, which interests all ages. When you feel, you turn back to Jonsboda Café & Camping site after having passed Töreboda municipality. Here you will stay the night just along the canal edge with cows grazing just outside the camping site. Here you can try fishing or take a bath in the canal before you grill your own dinner and perhaps enjoys the sauna afterwards. After that you will certainely sleep well.

Day 2                  Jonsboda-Tåtorp-Töreboda (25 km)
After breakfast you'll bike east towards Tåtorp, where the canal flows into Lake Viken. You'll bike through the beautiful and narrow canal Bergskanalen and pass Lanthöjden, which is the highest point of the canal standing at 91.5 meters above sea-level. You hop of your bikes and take a stroll over the small peninsula watching the obelisk that marks this place. After having returned to Jonsboda it's time for lunch. Pick up your bags and continue to Töreboda where this package-tour is completed.
