Day 1 Visby
Just outside the Visby Ring Wall the "Best Western Solhem hotell" is situated. You'll find the hotel at Solhemsgatan around 400 mtrs from the harbour, beautifully situated in the Pallisad Park. When you feel like, you can take a look around the town. Perhaps you'll find a cosy restaurant where you want to enjoy your evening meal.
Day 2 (33 kms) Visby-Hejdebo
After a good night's sleep and a nice breakfast the adventure starts. Don't forget your lunch-parcels in the reception. You'll bike south towards the Tofta strand - a beautiful beach that invites to bath and play. On your way you will pass Kneippbyn, a play- and bath-land for young kids and an adventure golf-course for young and old. At the goal you will spend the night and dinner is served.
Day 3 (50 kms) Hejdebo-Burgsvik
Today you will bike further south, passing a charming harbour and a nature reservate. Here you'll bike just by the sea. At Gunnels B&B, nearby Burgsvik, you will stay the night and enjoy dinner.
Day 4 Hoburgen
This day you just enjoy a beautiful day in the south of Gotland. You get your lunch-parcels and can do what you want. Of course you will bike to the very south of the island to Hoburgen. You will return to Gunnels B&B for the night.
Day 5 (45 kms)
After breakfast you will bike on the east side of Gotland. You'll be passing churches and farms in the beautiful country side. After crossing to the other side of the island you will spend the night at Pensionat Lövängen.
Day 6 (rest) Ljugarn
Today you'll walk along the sea and enjoy the beautifol sand and sun. You walk to a small fishing-village, visit the restaurants and the museum at Strandridaregården after having seen the rauks at Folhammar. Dinner at the logding is included.
Day 7 (45 kms) Ljugarn-Visby
This last stretch will take you back to Visby. You'll bike to the centre of the island and visit the islanders' old meeting place, Roma Kungsgård. Here you will find handicraft and art from Gotland. You can buy handicraft, have a cup of coffee, participate a guided tour or just stroll around in the historical surroundings. For more info and prices: http://www.romakungsgard.se/ . From here you bike straight to Visby for the last evening. Back in Visby you return your bikes and have a nice evening.
Day 8 Visby
We hope you've got a tasteful breakfast and a lovely stay in Gotland. While you're waiting for your ferry home, you will probably get time go shopping in the stores.
