Package description

Day  1 Visby
Just outside the old city wall from the 11th century you are going to stay in Best Western Hotel Solhem, situated at Solhemsgatan about 400 meters from the ferry berth, nicely surrounded by the Pallisade Park.  When you’ve checked-in you take a long walk in order to discover this city. Do look for a nice restaurant too, where you will have your dinner later in the evening.

Day 2 (40 kms) Visby-Lummelunda-Visby
After a nice breakfast, it’s time to enjoy and explore!  Don’t forget your lunch-parcels!  You will bike along the wall itself on your right side and follow the sea at your left.  First you will pass the Almedal Park, where the Swedish politicians each meet for a week in July and debate. Perhaps you want an early morning swim or return here in the late afternoon instead at Snäckbaden. You continue to Krysmyntagården – a Herb Garden, where you perhaps like an ice-cream or a cup of coffee as a break. In short time you will reach the Lummelunda Cave, a very interesting place with guided tours to participate in and you can enjoy outdoors. After having taken a look of all other interesting buildings here too, you might want to return to Visby the same way and perhaps take a swim before you will enjoy Visby by night!

Day 3 (bus +biking on Fårö) Visby-Fårö
After breakfast, you will take the bus and your lunch-parcels on a trip to another island, Fårö. You will spend all day long here, so take your bikes on the bus too. This island has a lot of things and sites to explore during the day. Then you will take the bus back again.

Day  4 (40 kms) Visby-Tofta Beach-Visby
After breakfast, you will take your lunch-parcels and ride south today along the sea and spend the day in the sun at Tofta Beach. On your way you can also play adventure golf in Kneippbyn and visit Villa Villerkulla (where Pippi Longstocking lives).

Day 5 (Bus) Visby-Stora Karlsö-Visby
After breakfast you’ll take your lunch-parcels on the bus to Klintehamn, where a ship takes you to the bird island Stora Karlsö. The trip takes about 45 mins. This is a nature reserve with a lot of nice flowers and birds to watch. The bus will take you back to Visby in the latter part of the afternoon. NB! This trip you will have to book and pay for yourselves by calling on phone: 0498-240250.

Day  6 Visby
The last day you will certainly spend taking even greater interest of this island in the Hall of History or you are going shopping if you prefer that. Then it’s time to go home!

The island is flat and you see the coust fairly often. With ca:2000 hours of sun and lovely beaches Gotland is an excellent tourist destination even for you who's not interestad in culture and history.
